How this tool fits the task
The default is a one-hour countdown for a shared classroom screen or a practice test. It shows one time limit; reading time, individual accommodations and invigilation rules must be planned separately.
Try this workflow
- Before the test, choose the allowed duration and test the finish sound at the intended volume.
- Move the browser to the classroom display and enter fullscreen. Start only when the assessment begins.
- Keep the device awake. For a quiet room, mute the device audio before the test; use separate timers for groups with different approved limits.
Questions
- Does this enforce official exam rules?
- No. It displays time only. The organiser sets the permitted duration, accommodations and procedures; these examples are not official exam instructions.
- What if an older timer is restored?
- A saved running session takes precedence over the page default. Use the page preset action or reset and select the intended duration before the test.
